Messrs L P S Sturt, E Heron, P M ,and C Mollison, the board appointed to inquire into the charges made against Sergeant [[Steele|Steele]], of Wangaratta, before the Police Commission, met yesterday at the Treasury buildings Mr Sturt presided evidence is to be taken on Monday next at half past 2 o'clock pm. Sergeant Steele, Constable Arthur, Constable Phillips, and Mr and Mrs Reardon have been summoned to attend. The board appointed Mr H E Wade to act as secretary.
