== Location ==

Half way between [[Wangaratta|Wangaratta]] and [[Beechworth|Beechworth]] or between Beechworth and [[Chiltern|Chiltern]].

== Beginnings ==

Eldorado grew up with the discovery of gold in the area in about [[1854-1863 Events|1856]]. Eldorado was part of the [[Woolshed|Woolshed]] aluvial gold deposit. see ([[The Argus at KellyGang 8/2/1864|Argus8/2/64]]) ([[The Argus at KellyGang 15/8/1864 (3)|Argus15/8/64]])
