The Ovens and Murray Advertiser was a newspaper based in Beechworth.

Richard Warren bought the Ovens and Murray Advertiser in 1855 and remained its proprietor until 1906. It was one of the major local newspapers in the north east of Victoria

Richard Warren was a major shareholder in the Rocky Mountain Gold Slucing Co and he played a major role in the community
