Location
This scenic reserve provides vistas of the Upper King and the Alpine National Park. It is believed the lookout was a vantage point for bushranger Harry Power to view approaching troopers during his period of notoriety in the north-east
The Taungurung aboriginal community recognised Power's Lookout as part of their traditional country.

On the 26/10/1878 , at the time of the Mansfield Murders, Det Ward got up on the top of Power's Look-out; to look out for the[[../../things/K_kellys/K_KellyGang.html|KellyGang]] . He did not see them. Why was he there? Was he acting on information?
