Run first taken up in the late 1830s.Originally it was part of the Watson and Hunter empire that was based at Wappan and included Barjar, Dueran, Maindample, Mt Battery, Preston, and Loyola. It would seem that the run was first called Bannum. It would seem that in the 1840s it was licensed to Frederick GriffinIn 1868 Mr Dickens managed the shearing (Alexandra10/11/1868)
In 1876 the license was owned by Frederick Griffin, ? acres', £200 license fee half year
