KELLY GANG POWDER MAGAZINE

MELBOURNE , Friday,

Mr Griffiths, a farmer at Lurg, in the Benalla district, was burning off an old stump yesterday, when a terrific explosion was heard. The stump had been used by the Kelly Gone as a place for storing powder.
