The [[Royal Commission-followup|Police Commission]] will cease to exit in a few days, and when the accounts have been adjusted Mr Longmore will return the commission issued by His Excellency the Governor in 1881. Before finally dissolving it has been considered desirable that formal recognition should be made of the assistance rendered by Mr Bolam, inspector general of the Education department, in connexion with the Wallace phase of the Kelly inquiry, and it is understood that the attention of the Minister of Education has been drawn to the valuable help derived by the commission from Mr Bolam.
