THE MANSFIELD MURDERS

BENALLA, WEDNESDAY NIGHT
The police party who proceeded to Euroa last evening returned by the early train to-day, having found that they had been sent on a fool's errand, the information sent to them being untrustworthy. It is said that they went about 15 miles from Euroa and there interviewed a bushman. They then found that the Kellys had not been there as was stated, and at once returned.
