The Police [[Royal Commission-followup|Commission]] met yesterday forenoon, but no business was transacted. It was stated by the secretary that no reply had been received regarding the decision of the Government in Sub-inspector Larner's case. The chairman (Mr. Longmore) was requested to see the Chief Secretary on the subject, and on returning to the commission he reported that Mr Grant hoped to be in a position to state the decision of the Cabinet before Tuesday. The commission adjourned until that day.
