THE POLICE MURDERS

[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH]

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT)

MANSFIELD, THURSDAY

The three horses belonging to the Kelly gang were found a few days ago near the scene of the murders, and to-day two horses belonging to the troopers, one of which belonged to the late Sergeant Kennedy, were found on the Warby Ranges, between Wangaratta and Benalla. There were no saddles or bridles with them.

A rumour has just been spread here that the Kellys had surrendered, but it is not confirmed by the police or any good authority. It seems to have originated in Melbourne.
