TELEGRAPHIC DESPATCHES

VICTORIA

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENTS)

BENALLA, THURSDAY, 10 PM

Nothing definite has transpired here to day, but at the same time more than the usual activity prevails amongst the police, and there is a general feeling that some thing important will take place very shortly. Captain Standish left for town by special train at noon today, while Superintendent Sadlier proceeded in the opposite direction. Kate Kelly, who has not been here for some time past, came into town today no doubt with the view of ascertaining, if possible, what was going on.
