Ned Kellys Trial /10/1880

Later

We had two large pit saws stolen from our saw mill on Seven Mile Creek in April 1881. The saws were the saws taken were 6ft. long by 11in. wide at the broad ends, and that a smaller one was left. They were supposed to have been taken by sympathizers to construct armour out of. SConst Elliott reported this (Argus3/4/81) (RC9870)

The police heard it was supposed they were taken for spite, because my sheep were killed, and I poisoned a dog that killed them. They were also told you could make armour with them.(RC11010)
