Superintendent [[Hare|Hare]], who is suffering from erysipelas, arising from the wound which he received at Glenrowan, remains in a very precarious state. On Saturday he was in a very low condition, but yesterday evening he rallied, and the spread of the disease having been checked, his medical advisers have now confident hopes of his recovery.
The [[Ned Kellys Trial|trial]] of Edward Kelly will commence this morning in the Supreme Court house, before his Honour Mr Justice Barry. The prisoner had applied to the Crown for the usual funds for the defence of criminals arraigned on a capital charge, and has nominated Mr Molesworth as his barrister, and Mr Gaunson as his attorney.
