The conduct of Mr David Gaunson, Chairman of Committees, in connection with the Kelly affair if warmly censured by the Press of the colony, and some action by the House is called for.

Another meeting of the Executive was held to-day, when it was decided not to disturb Kelly's sentence, and he will be executed to-morrow morning. The sheriff has been deluged with applications for admission to the execution, but the number will be restricted. The condemned man's relatives paid their last visit to him to-day, and the excitement is now dying out. A deputation of Kelly sympathisers proceeded to Government House this evening, but the Governor would not receive them. They then waited on Mr Berry , who told them they were misguided men, and they had better let the man die in peace. There would be no interference with the decision already arrived at.

Mrs Anne Jones, proprietress of the Glenrowan Hotel, was arrested this morning on a charge of feloniously harbouring and maintaining Ned Kelly. It is alleged she acted with him at the Glenrowan affair, and prevented the escape of those inside. She denies having harboured the outlaws, and states that, as her children were wounded, and her home burned down in the fight, she thinks she has suffered enough.
