The meeting of the Police [[Royal Commission-followup|Commission]] yesterday was devoted to an endeavour to ascertain precisely the contents of some documents refering to a quarrel between Detectives '''Duncan''' and '''O'Callaghan''', which were destroyed by Inspector Secretan. The evidence adduced indicated, in the opinion of the commission, that the papers, if placed at their disposal, would enable them to conduct the investigation more efficiently than if they could not be obtained, because it was considered the matter involved was something more than a mere personal quarrel. The witnesses examined were Inspector '''Secretan''', and Detectives '''Mackey''', O'Callaghan, '''Walsh''', and '''Kidney'''. Detective O'Callaghan declined to state the particulars of the complaint which he made.
