'''THE POLICE MURDERS'''
[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH]
(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT)
BENALLA, SUNDAY, 10 PM
There are no fresh tidings of the where-abouts of Kelly and his mates, and the people in the district are beginning to complain about the desperadoes being at large for such a length of time. Superintendent Sadleir, with two black trackers, went out yesterday in the direction of [[Winton|Winton]], but it is not known with what success, as everything is kept very quiet. More troopers arrived here last night, and a host of men are now awaiting orders to proceed. Their destination is kept secret, but hopes are entertained of valuable information being obtained tomorrow.
Detective [[Ward|Ward]] passed through Benalla last night. It is believed that the publication of the out-lawing proclamation will have a good effect, and may frighten some of the murderers' friends or mates and induce them to give informamation
