Tangambalanga stands at the northern entrance to the stunningly beautiful Kiewa River Valley which stretches south 90km to Mt Beauty at the foot of a steep 35km climb to the Falls Creek ski resort.
The tiny, Kiewa Valley twin townships of Kiewa and Tangambalanga lie just south of the lower arm of Lake Hume on the border of the Indigo Shire. This is prime dairy country.
Stretches of the Kiewa River offer fine fishing
