Photograph '''Early years''' I was born on 9 Dec 1859 at Reedy Creek, Broadford, Victoria. My father was a shoemaker. I went to school in [[Longwood|Longwood]],1864-1875. I was 5ft 8in. tall with grey eyes, light brown hair, fair complexion '''Business as a store keeper and hawker''' I employed by [[James Gloster|Mr Gloster]] the draper in [[Seymour|Seymour]] and [[Hawkers People|hawker]]. '''Euroa Robbery 10/12/[[ev78-12--2Euroa Robbery|1878]]''' On the evening of the 9th Mr Gloster and I arrived at [[Faithfull's Creek (2)|Faithfull's]] Creek Station and met the '''KellyGang'''.

Ned Kelly took me with him into Euroa for the robery. He paid me £2 and me the silver watch taken from the body of Constable Lonigan. I gave it to the police.([[The Argus at KellyGang 13/11/1878 (3)|Argus13/11/78]])

== What happened to Frank Becroft's family ==

I was married at [[Milawa|Milawa]] on 5 Nov 1889.

I joined the police in March 1886 as a Mounted Constable..

I was stationed at Nathalia for some years during my service in the police and was also at Wunghn

After I retired from the police as a result of "Bodily Infirmity" 31.1.1904 I bought the Cumberland [[Hotels Pubs and Shanties|Hotel]], Wunghnu

I died at Nine Mile Creek, Victoria, on 3 December 1904 and I am buried together with my wife Christina in the '''Wunghnu''' Cemetry. She died in 3/10/1947
