Escape north On Sunday 27/10/1878, the day after the Mansfield Murders, the KellyGang came around to see me. I gave them a change of clothing and a meal and they went on their way.

In late Octomer 1878 Ass Com Nicolson led a search party after the KellyGang to near our place and he suggested that police should watch Cart Road Gully that was near our place and McBean's swamp (RC 676)

Jerilderie Robbery 10/2/1879 I was allotted a selection at Myrhee and Tatong 44a 4p (OMA5/4/1879) Later in 1879 In 1879 the authorities identified me as a sympathizer. I was arrested with Tom Lloyd. (Argus12/3/79) (Argus13/3/79) (OMA13/3/79)
