History at Bonegilla before the KellyGang

On the Murray River south east of Wodonga

First taken up by Wyse on Charle Ebden's behalf 1835, (25,000 acres) First spelt 'Bongilla'

In 1851 it was owned by the Rev JS Palmer who sold it to Michael Ryan in the mid 1850s

In 1876 the license was owned by J Conisbee, 6,600 acres, license fee for 6 months was £29
