Early Years Photograph Euroa robbery I was a groom at Faithfulls Ceek at the time.(RC4520)

Ned Kelly told me all about the Stringy Bark Creek murders (Argus10/8/80)

I met Ass Com Nicolson when he came there after the robbery and we got on. I offered to help the police and was taken on as a sort of a detective

Spring 1879 - Early 1880 I left Mr Younghusband’s employ at the end of 1879. (Argus10/8/80)

I was stationed in the law courts at Beechworth, and I also worked under cover at the Glenrowan railway station as a porter for three months. I was paid 6d a day. (RC4527) (Age10/8/1880)

I told Jacob Wilson that I had been dismissed from the Glenrowan railway station. (RC4675)

Nicolson replaced by Hare 2/6/1880 Sup Hare sent me out to Jacob Wilson's to watch Tom Lloyd's for the KellyGang.

I came to his place on 14/6/1880. I worked with him every night after at Tom Lloyd's place. (RC4519)

There was a fellow ploughing at Wilson's place, and that prevented me from going out some nights, as we did not want any one to know it. (RC4606)

We thought we could do better if we could get a night-glass to look at Lloyd's house at night to see who came in it. I went into Benalla on the 28th of June, and when I got in there at night Kelly was captured and I came back to me on the 29th, for my blankets. Wilson wanted me to stay. (RC4519) see also (RC4659)
