[[Ned Kelly|Ned Kelly]] spent part of his time in the early 1870's in [[Pentridge|Pentridge]] and down at the goal quarry and public works depot at Point Gelibrand.

The prisoners were accomodated on the hulks of old sailing ships. This was seen as a worst punishment than life in the Prison.
