'''THE POLICE MURDERS'''

Mansfield, Thursday

The three horses belonging to the Kelly gang were found a few days ago near the scene of the murders, and today two horses belonging to the troopers, one of which belonged to the late Sergeant Kennedy, were found on the [[Warby Ranges|Warby Ranges]], between Wangaratta and Benalla. There were no saddles or bridles with them. A rumour has just been spread here that the Kellys had surrendered, but it is not confirmed by the police or any good authority' It seems to have originated in Melbourne.- ''Argus''.
