Originally part of Omeo B.First taken up by overlanders from New South Wales in 1841 to 1843
Benambra was held by Patrick Buckley between 1862 to 1872. He was a major land owner in Gippsland
In 1876 the license was held by Charles MacPherson Fraser and the half yearly license fee was £43 15
