Please come down by the evening train and come to my office the following day as early as convenient. I had a long interview with - this morning. He is of opinion that the outlaws are at present between the 11- mile and the scene of the murders on the [[Stringy Bark Creek|Wombat ranges]]. I did not gain much intelligence. He spoke very frankly to me on various matters."
