The Greta and Wangaratta police have arrested Mrs. Ellen Kelly, a man named Williams alias Benckley, and William Skillian, for the outrage which was committed on Constable Fitzpatrick at Greta on Monday. Two of the Kellys are still at large, and are supposed to have gone to New South Wales.

--------------------

Some of the police magistrates who have been reinstated took the oaths of office yesterday morning before the Chief Justice in chambers. The magistrates who were sworn in were Mr Wyatt, Mr Heron, Mr Thomson, Mr Call, and Mr Howitt. His Honour, after the oaths had been administered, remarked that he hoped it would be the last time that he would have to swear them in,   and one of the magistrates said he hoped it would. Another of the magistrates said it might look curious afterwards if their names were found recorded in the roll as having been twice sworn in, but his Honour observed that the Court could not help taking judicial notice of the circumstances under which the oaths had been taken.
