The Police Commission sat all day yesterday in private arranging their evidence regarding the outbreak and capture of the Kelly outlaws. On the completion of this work they will at once proceed to draw up their report on the Kelly business. Having disposed of that portion of their inquiry, they will next direct their attention to the organisation and management of the police force generally.

BENALLA, Tuesday

Constable Allwood to-day arrested John Hart, a brother of the late bushranger, at Greta, on a charge of cattle stealing. Prisoner was brought before Mr Robert M'Bean, JP and remanded without bail to the 4th October next.
