Links to the KellyGang

Early Years I came to Australia from California With the KellyGang I married Ellen Kelly on 19/2/1874 in Benalla.

Between late 1876 and early 1877 I started travelling with Ned Kelly and his younger brother Dan. We were involved in moving cattle and horses from Victoria out through the high country into New South Wales and bringing other mobs back. We used to alter a few brands along the way.

In late 1877 early 1878 I left Ellen, home, my son John and my yet to be born daughter Alice. What could I do, stay, be arrested and spend my life in goal or join the KellyGang and become famous a hundred years after my death?
