My father (Charles Ryan) arrived in Australia in 1840 and soon after was at Kilefa station. He had a number of other properties in North eastern Victoria before settling in Melbourne as a stock and station agent (Ryan and Hammond)', He ' also had business dealings with another of my relatives, Mr Snodgrass.
What happened to Dr Charles Ryan's family Maie went on to become Lady Casey. She wrote a number of books.
Rupert married into Scottish aristocracy.
