I was in the employ of the Victoria police, but joined Queensland police on death of Sambo. On 3/5/1880 Com Standish wrote to the Commissioner of Police, Queensland requesting that I be returned to the Victoria police.(RC11478)

I rejoined the Victoria police on 19/5/1880. (RC11533)
